Dance for Joy, founded in 1994, is a ballet school dedicated
to providing quality dance training with emphasis on enjoyment and building of self-esteem. We believe that ballet can
be a fulfilling form of exercise for everyone, regardless of their age, experience or aptitude. In other words, we offer
real classical training to the talented and not! We do not favor the serious student; however our students have been
accepted into many prestigious summer programs including ABT, Walnut Hill School and Chautauqua. Our graduates have
received college dance scholarships and have danced (or are dancing) with professional companies including ABT.
We begin with fun and creative classes for 3 to 6 year olds,
and then offer ballet and jazz beginning at 7 years and continue with pointe and modern for teens through adults.
We hope to instill a love of dance that can carry though our students entire lives.

Dance for Joy is located in Mohegan Plaza on Route 6 in
the center of Mohegan Lake. We are across the street from Ms. Dancewear and the Mohegan Diner, and equidistant from
the Taconic State Parkway and Cortlandt Town Center.
