Dance for Joy Youth Ballet Company Recital 2008
Our youth ballet is open by audition to all students in our Intermediate 2
to Advanced Levels (11 year olds and up). Performances are held in our studio space, at area elementary schools, Tom
Thumb PreSchool, nursing homes, and other venues. We were selected to perform in August, 2004 with the Rockland
String Ensemble at Rockland Community College and travel each year to the Youth Dance Festival of New Jersey.

production of the Nutcracker with Albany Berkshire Ballet.
In 2008 we produced our own Nutcracker for Kids! which will be at the
Paramount in Peekskill for the first time in December 2010. This one hour version of the full story includes narration
and is designed for children from 3 to 103! All parts are performed by Dance for Joy students.
Parts are obtained through auditions in October. Auditions are open to Dance for Joy students ages
5 and up.

Workshops
We also hold summer intensive workshops, and one-day workshops in additional
types of dance such as character and modern.
